People are always asking us how far is Perdido Key to Pensacola? On most days it is only a half-hour by car or 17 miles, the perfect distance for a day trip.

Pensacola is about 17 miles Northeast of Perdido Key. It usually takes anywhere from 30 to 35 minutes to get from Perdido Key without heavy traffic. Located about an hour to the east of Pensacola is Destin Fl and if you go Southwest past Perdido Key, you will run into Orange Beach and Golf Shores, Alabama.
Depending on the time of the year, the tempreatures in and around Pensacola range from high 90s in the summer to low 40s in the winter. Its gets on average 224 days of sunshine and 64 inches of rain. With Gulf Shores & Orange Beach over an hour away and Destin about the same, the best place to stay near Pensacola is Perdido Key, Florida. Just a few miles down the road from Pensacola, it has all the amenities with better prices and less crowds.
If you are looking to cast your line out in hopes of reeling in the big one, then you are in luck. Whether you are fishing from a shoreline, pier, or boat, Pensacola offers some fantastic fishing options and great local guides. Just make sure to follow all the local rules and laws.
