Derives its name from a bordering body of water called the Big Lagoon. The park of 678 upland acres was opened in 1978 and beckons visitors with all the recreational opportunities expected at a Florida state park. Follow the Cookie Trail, maintained by the Girl Scouts. Natural habitat includes numerous birds and animals – gray foxes, raccoons, skunks & opossum`s. We offer a panoramic view of the Big Lagoon, the park and the Gulf Islands National Seashore across the Intra-coastal Waterway. Located at 12301 Gulf Beach Hwy, just north of Perdido Key.

Visit WebsiteLocated on the east end of Perdido Key with daily, weekly and yearly passes available. Offers primitive camping and is approximately a 2.25 mile hike to the beach area open for camping. The Perdido Key Discovery Trail is wheelchair accessible. Excellent area for jogging or biking.
